SESSION PLANNING

One tutoring session or a bundle: how to decide

A discount is useful only if the sessions fit your needs and your calendar. Before choosing a tutoring bundle, think about the work you want to do between sessions and how much guided practice you will realistically attend.

Choose a single session for a defined problem

One session can suit a topic that has stopped your progress: a calculus method, an unfamiliar programming error, or a difficult passage in your course reading. Arrive with a focused goal and a couple of examples so the hour has a clear purpose.

At the standard rate, a one-hour session costs US$60. Some subjects have a different published hourly rate, so check the relevant service page and the written quote. Requesting a session does not charge your card or confirm a time.

Use five sessions for a short learning plan

Five sessions can provide room to review a topic, practise independently, and return with specific questions. It might mean one session most weeks plus an extra review during a demanding month. There is no requirement to spread them evenly, but every booking depends on availability.

At the US$60 standard rate, five one-hour sessions normally total US$300. A 5% bundle discount reduces the prepaid total to US$285, or US$57 per session. This is one purchase for five sessions, not a monthly subscription or an automatic renewal.

Choose ten sessions only if you have the time

Ten sessions can support more frequent work across a concentrated period. They also require time outside the calls. If your week is already crowded, buying more hours can add pressure without creating space to practise.

At the same standard rate, ten sessions normally total US$600. A 10% discount makes the prepaid total US$540, or US$54 per one-hour session. Bundles are valid for 30 days from purchase, with the exact expiry shown in your booking confirmation. A new purchase is needed for another bundle.

Read the terms before paying

Completed sessions are non-refundable. If you attend three sessions from a five-session standard bundle, the US$171 paid for those three sessions is not refundable. The remaining US$114 represents two unused session credits and is governed by the payment policy; it is not an automatic cash refund.

Check the notice required to reschedule, the treatment of no-shows, and the expiry date. If the company cannot deliver a session, the policy provides a replacement or the applicable refund for that undelivered session. Mandatory consumer rights still apply. Ask the team about anything unclear before agreeing the booking.
